something i learned today...

i just recently learned something new about my favorite photo source flickr.  if you've never heard about this site, check it out.  tons of photos on just about anything and everything.  i admit i am not the best photographer, so most of the time i find my inspiration photos for my blog posts from there.  today, i just figured out how to link the photos from my blog to their site to source the photographer - perfect.  i'll be posting the links (when used) at the end of my post.  check it out and have fun... -t!m

frightful indeed...

the weather outside is finally getting the winter chill in the air.  i know it probably sounds weird, but i love stormy weather and we're supposed to get some storms this weekend - yippee!  maybe rain, maybe snow - who cares, i just want weather.  another incredible sunset tonight.  have some exciting things in the works for the blog that i will be sharing on december 1st.  talk soon... -t!m (photo: unknown)

Carol Duvall Holiday Workshops...

hey there!  i just found out that they are bringing the old Carol Duvall Holiday Workshops back again this year on HGTV!!!  these were truly my most favorite shows to do and they were the only Carol Duvall shows throughout the year with a live audience.  these shows were originally taped in 2003-2004, but they are still fun to watch, still inspiring, and they are on for the next 2 weeks.  so set your tivo (check your local listing for times) or just sit down and enjoy them.  there are so many great holiday ideas - so don't miss them.  i have segments coming up:

deck the halls...

what better way to enjoy the long weekend than to get decorated for the holidays.  okay i have to admit, i'm spending the weekend with friends, and not decorating for Christmas (i already did this over 2 weeks ago - shhhhhh!).  i just love the holidays and look forward to them every year and i can't wait to get the house decorated for the holidays.  so, whether you're decking the halls this weekend, shopping, or spending it however you wish, just take time to enjoy it...

it's holiday time...

oh yes, the holidays!  time to surround yourself with all the sights, sounds, and smells of the holiday season.  around here that means another Christmas picture of cooper - my dog.  i dress him up each year for his annual holiday photo (and believe it or not, he loves it!).  this picture is from the first year photo shoot which was 5 years ago, hard to believe.  it's seriously hysterical to watch him.  so i'll be posting his past Christmas pictures throughout this month, some that made it on cards, and others that have yet to be seen by anyone!  just thought there was no better way to kick off the holiday season than seeing this face.  hopefully it brought a smile to your face too...

thankful...

the crisp fall evenings have started...and in arizona that means INCREDIBLE sunsets like this one i took right outside my back door.  with thanksgiving weekend in full swing, the holiday rush is just around the corner.  take time this weekend amidst all of the food and craziness to take a moment for yourself - to think about what you're thankful for, sometimes it could be the simplest of things that bring us contentment and gratefulness.  i'm thankful for days like today - like everyday. i'm thankful for all of you who have shared this incredible journey with me.  i'm thankful for all that has happened in my life.  i'm thankful to be surrounded by so many genuine friends.  and i'm thankful for the chance to get up each day and live my dream...after all, what can be better than living your dream.  happy thanksgiving to you all.

the studio - final day...

i hope that by sharing my studio space it has motivated you to create a little more in yours!  remember, it's all about what works for you, how much room you have to do what you love, and surround yourself with the things that inspire you.  i'm not going into detail on this post because i'm posting pics of the things that inspire me, things i love, and found objects from so many places.  it's eclectic, it's random, but it's me - enjoy...  -t!m
