got flowers???

these people sure will...thanks once again for all of your comments!  if you didn't have a chance to read them, you really should go back and do it - lots of great ideas for using flowers - thanks so much for sharing them.
congrats to the following winners: (julie howard, clare, immi) - please email me your information and i'll get your flowers out right away...t!m

These flowers ROCK! I just LOVE them! Talk about vintage and grunge.. they are perfect for so many of my projects!

I use flowers A LOT. My favorite use for them is to hide adhesive on acrylic albums (they go on the "back" page to hide the adhesive from things on the front!)

I also use them to embellish stamps, around photos, singly or in clusters, in borders, to hide yucky stuff in photo backgrounds, parts of or as letters, with stickers, stickles, buttons or brads.

I can never use a lot of flowers as I mostly make 'boy' stuff whether its cards, scrapping, home decor etc - THESE fantastic flowers are PERFECT for boy pages/cards/whatever - so grungy and cool, not a bit 'girlified' - I have all sorts of ideas for them running round my head already, but the first thing I must do is incorporate some into some jewellery and show them off!

Flowers add such a nice extra layer of dimension and texture! They're awesome for scrapbooks & cards. I've used them quite a bit also on the mixed media collages I do, and it always draws a positive comment! The flowers you showed are unlike anything I've seen before, and I'd LOOOVE to have some! Thanks for the fun giveaway!

mission accomplished...

Flowers_3

hey bloggers!  what a weekend.  we managed to get 99% of the kits finished and packed up for my alaska cruise next month - just a few odds and ends to finish up.   i'll be teaching 5 different workshops on the cruise to our 200 students - i can't wait!
so, there were so many comments on my blog about these flowers asking who they were from and where can you get your hands on them???  well, they are the NEWEST "Artful Collage Flowers" from my friends at Prima!  are they the coolest thing you've seen or what?  the colors, the collagy ephemera they are made from - i love them and had to use them so i got loads of them (about 2500 flowers to be exact!).  they are already hitting stores so be sure to check with your local scrapbook store.  if you don't have one, here's an online source to get them right away.

now if you've been a faithful reader of my blog, you know i can't tell you about a favorite thing of mine without sharing the love - right???  so here you go, a mid-week giveaway - woo hoo!  post a comment on my blog telling me your favorite use for flowers on your projects.  wait a minute, not a flower person?  trust me, after you have these beauties in your hands, that will change...
i will draw 3 lucky winners (yep 3 of you!) and send the winners each a bag full of flowers - over 50 flowers in each bag!  winners will be drawn on wednesday so you'll have a chance to post a comment and get in on this cool giveaway!
so...let the sharing of ideas begin...t!m

progress...

Progress

things around the studio have been like a small factory with everyone doing their part of the prepping and kitting process.  from punching holes and scoring paper to cutting ribbons and counting flowers, we are definitely making progress around here.  of course we are trying to make the most of the weekend so my friends mario, michele, sharon, and kim have been here since early this morning worked all day and night, and agreed to return tomorrow to do it all again!  i couldn't imagine what i would do without them. (thanks guys!).  so i figured i would take a few more photos of the progress we have made - trying not to give away the details of the cruise classes of course!  hope you're enjoying your weekend too...t!m

crazy busy...

Paper

i have to say i have been trying to blog all week.  in all honesty though, i gave fair warning - right?  things have been going crazy here this week getting all of the supplies delivered and organized for my upcoming cruise to alaska!  i can't wait...still lots to do though and i am balancing this with all of my other responsibilities of course and keeping everything going as smoothly as possible.  so what does 10,000+ cut pieces of papers & transparencies look like? you're lookin' at it - a paper crafters dream - and it really makes me want to go and create something with them!

i want to give a shout out to my friend donna downey - congrats on the HUGE success of your "inspired" event.  i have been hearing incredible buzz about it - way to go!  i so wish i could have experienced it....maybe next year!  i am so happy to hear the excitement in your voice and see the proud sense of accomplishment in your eyes - what they say is true; you get what you give in life...check out donna's blog to see for yourself - you can't help but smile.  also check out my buddy ali's creative project from "inspired"...
so today, be inspired ...t!m

what a creative day...

Mystic thanks to all my students at mystic paper yesterday - what a day!  we had just a blast and the creativity was just oozing from everyone.  i was beyond impressed with all of the creative energy everyone was sharing.  the projects were such fun and it was inspiring to see each of your artistic muse play out.  a huge thanks to my team of friends mario, michele, and sharon for their tireless help with the classes - i couldn't have done it without all of you...and to the birthday "crew" (you know who you are) - thanks for the many laughs!  now it's a few weeks in the studio for me to get deadlines finished for CHA, workshop samples made, and most importantly...getting all of the kits, projects, and surprises packed up for my cruise to alaska next month - can't wait!...t!m

Arizona that's right - my first store workshops are finally here!  this weekend - saturday, april 12th i will be teaching at mystic paper in mesa, az.  i have to say this store has been so patient waiting for me to come and teach there - over 2 years i think, and they're right here in arizona - yikes!  it just goes to show that my travel schedule is getting busier and it's tougher to find "free time" to go and teach, but i do what i can when i can...
i am so looking forward to this vist and i have some great workshops planned too.  there are still a few spots left if you happen to be in the area - all of the workshop info is on the mystic paper blog.  for those of you who have signed up already strictly on faith (because i didn't have time to send samples), thank you so much.  here are the projects we're going to be creating this saturday!  see you soon...t!m
