hi bloggers! as we celebrate independence day i wanted to share my sincere appreciation to the men and women of our armed forces and their families. i am truly blessed to be living in this amazing country, and in honor of the celebrations i wanted to share this card i made with a simple message of hope. wishing everyone a safe and happy 4th of july...t!m
supplies: craft sheet, distress inks/fired brick/faded jeans/pumice stone, paint dabber/snowcap, ink blending tool, seasonal paper stash, adornments, jump ring, trimmings, tiny attacher, sanding grip, coredinations distress collection, shabby stripes stamp, star border stamp, adhesive
step 1: apply faded jeans distress ink to the last 3 rays of the stamp by tapping ink pad in that area only.
step 2: apply fired brick distress ink to remaining rays of the stamp by tapping ink pad in that area only.
step 3: be sure entire stamp is inked (it should look shiny).
step 4: stamp image on to white cardstock using good pressure - pretty cool huh?
step 5: apply snow cap paint dabber to stars.
step 6: stamp stars over first blue stripe. repeat for other 2 stripes adding more stars as you go.
step 7: trim image to size for card and ink edges with pumice stone distress ink using ink blending tool.
step 8: cut and fold cardstock using coredination distress collection/faded jeans and sand edges with sanding grip (*love finally having cardstock to match the distress inks).
step 9: finish card by adhering americana seasonal paper stash to card, tie trimmings around image, and hang star adornment using jump ring. create word on label maker and secure with tiny attacher.
