happy monday bloggers! hope you had a great weekend. i spent mine at home which as you know for me is definitely out of the ordinary. so i had to take advantage of it...hmmm...what to do? i decided to repaint part of my studio - the wall i face when i'm working in here it's been painted green with yellow and purple doors - crazy huh? it's bothered me for a long time, but no more... mario's son joe helped out by the priming of the walls and doors white since there was so much color to cover up. then i was up on the ladder to do my part - the faux finishing. i basically just like to create a very distressed look to the walls (shocking i know)... so i used ralph lauren paint (burlap) mixed with some glaze and away i went. simply using a cloth and wiping the walls with this mixture creates the perfect look i was going for - i also ended up fauxing the doors to finish it off. i love it... so here are some photos of the before and after to share with you. love projects like this, and i'm happy i had a couple of days at home to get it done. i've got some videos in the works for later this week so stay tuned...t!m

so amazing! I can't wait to see it soon!!!!

Very happy that you had a productive weekend. Spent Saturday participating in the Bangor Art Fest. People just were not buying - complaining about the goverment and economy. Sunday I was recovering from from dehydration. The walls look great.
