i just wanted to share these photos of my very good friend E.L. with you! mario and i flew to california early yesterday morning to be here for her surprise birthday party. it was so great to surprise her, get to meet her family and friends, and catch a glimpse of her life through an incredible photo board her husband made. you see i met E.L. when i started working with sizzix on my alterations line as she is the creative genius behind it all. as a designer i was completely in tune with designing stamps, papers, inks, embellishments, etc., but when it came to taking my dimensional ideas and turning them into a die cut, i was at a total loss. that's where E.L. shines! her genius has no problem taking my ideas and creating the dies and embossing folders you see today. i know without a doubt, there would be no alterations line if it weren't for E.L. we work so closely together on every release, she flies out to my studio twice a year where we spend days brainstorming and creating alterations magic. i am so blessed to have her in my life and to have met such a genuine, sincere, talented, and the sweetest friend ever! so happy birthday E.L. and wishing you all the wishes you can possibly imagine...t!m
